Experience From Every Side of Performance
Dr. Lorenda Beuker has experienced performance as an elite athlete, NCAA coach, researcher, professor, and performance coach. A former Team Canada goaltender and NCAA Division I coach, she understands the demands of high performance from both sides of the bench.
That experience ultimately led to a different question about mental performance: what if athletes do not always need more information, more motivation, or more things to think about? What if greater performance can come from reducing what is getting in the way?
Today, Dr. Lorenda combines research with practical application to develop techniques athletes and teams can actually experience, practice, and use under pressure. Her work has reached athletes and coaches across professional, collegiate, junior, and youth sport.
