Expand What is Possible
Performance is not always limited by skill, preparation, or effort. Sometimes what gets in the way is the pressure, overthinking, judgment, expectations, and frustration that restrict access to what an athlete is already capable of.
About Dr. Lorenda
Dr. Lorenda Beuker’s approach to performance has been shaped from every side of sport. As a former Team Canada goaltender, NCAA Division I coach, researcher, professor, and performance coach, she understands both the demands placed on athletes and the challenge of accessing your best when the pressure is real.
Her work today brings those experiences together. Through years of working directly with athletes and teams, Dr. Lorenda has developed a technique focused approach that goes beyond simply talking about mindset. Her work helps athletes recognize and reduce the overthinking, judgment, doubt, expectations, and physical restriction that can interfere with performance, then practice new ways to respond.
Research has become an important part of that evolution. Dr. Lorenda studies the psychological factors that influence how athletes cope, respond to pressure, receive coaching, contribute to teams, and access more of their potential. Her research continues to shape the techniques she brings directly back to athletes and coaches.
At the center of her work is a simple idea: you may not need more effort or more to think about. You may need greater access to what is already there.
Less restriction. More possibility. Greater access to your next breakthrough.

IMPACT
AS A TEAM
“The training really opened our eyes as a team and helped us focus on the bigger picture, while becoming more aware of our individual thoughts and feelings.”
“Our team buys in to the skills and techniques Dr. Lorenda brings to us. She prepares our student athletes to be more mindful and present while performing their best. Her time and expertise have been an invaluable resource in helping our athletes perform to the best of their ability.”
IN PERFORMANCE
“I loved doing the sessions! I frequently thought about what we learned during practices and game days.”
“I have been applying the training when I become too anxious during a game or even at practices. I stop to breathe and calm myself down before I refocus on what I’m doing. It has been very beneficial to my performance on the field.”
UNDER PRESSURE
“I would definitely recommend this for athletes who get stressed in pressure situations.”
“In the beginning, I noticed myself constantly messing up and freaking out or panicking. Ever since Dr. Beuker gave us techniques to overcome that panic, I’ve noticed myself becoming more relaxed and executing things better. I will continue using the techniques.”
